With all the recent goings on behind the scenes of teams wishing to leave the Junior football scene and join the Lower leagues, Broughty Athletic JFC confirmed their status in the Super League for next season. With not having a game on Saturday past and with other results going their way, the Fed will now not finish in the bottom two automatic relegations positions or the third bottom play-off position in the league.

The Fed currently sit in the sixth position in the sixteen team East Region Super League having amassed thirty-nine points from twenty-seven games so far with three games still to play so it is impossible to be overtaken by three teams so far, Forfar West End, Kennoway Star Hearts and Jeanfield Swifts. These bottom three positions are not guaranteed to see any team relegated due to the recent list of Super League teams wishing to leave the Juniors and make the step up.
