For the third week in a row, Broughty Athletic go into a Super League fixture, this time they welcome Sauchie Juniors to Whitton Park, with one eye on the weather.
With Broughty’s last two Super League fixtures belling called off, a home game versus St Andrews United and a visit to Camelon last Saturday falling foul of the weather, Broughty manager Keith Gibson is desperate for this Saturdays game to go ahead. Broughty last played on the 14th November, a 4-2 away win at Tayport.
Once again the squad will be at full strength with no injury worries to contend with and it could be a first start or a place on the bench for recent new signings Ryan Suttie and Bastien Wibaut.
Visitors Sauchie currently sit two places above The Fed in eleventh place, with two more points gained, but Broughty have two games in hand on their visitors so a win and three points would prove crucial for the home side. The sides met in the East of Scotland Cup 2nd Round last year with Sauchie winning a very much wind affected cup tie 1-0. This will be the first ever league meeting between the sides.
All fans are reminded this game is a 1-45pm kick-off at Whitton Park. Admission prices are £5 for Adults and £2 for OAPs/Kids.
