Broughty Athletic can officially announce that midfielder Andy Walls has left the club and signed for local side Downfield. Andy only recently joined the Fed this pre-season, at the end of August with former clubs including Raith Rovers, Lochee United, East Craigie, and Forfar West End under his belt.

Andy, pictured left and in the main page photo is seen playing against Dundee FC Youth Development in a pre-season friendly, he also scored in the game, had yet to appear for the Whitton Park side this new season in the league and a deal was set up and concluded with Downfield manager Paul Marr which also sees Connor MacLeod move in the opposite direction and join Broughty from Downfield, having come on against Brechin Vics last Saturday in the 3-0 win as a trialist for the Fed.

The club would like to wish Andy all the very best at his new side for the rest of the season nad in his future and thank him for his time at the club and now welcome aboard Connor to the Fed officially and wish him all the very best for the remainder of the season ahead at the Fed…
