Broughty Athletic travel to face Penicuik Athletic this Saturday looking to get their first win in the league since their last win which was back on the 1st October against Saturday’s hosts, a 1-0 win at Whitton Park.

The Fed are on a poor league run of form of late with three drawn games and six defeats after a fantastic start to the season, reaching the heavy heights of second place in the league at one stage.

Hosts Penicuik have had a great run of form recently, cementing their fourth position in the league, nine points and three places ahead of the Fed. Penicuik’s last three Super League fixtures have seen them draw twice against Broxburn Athletic 3-3, Bo’ness United 1-1, and defeat Musselburgh Athletic 3-2 away Saturday past.

Last season the Fed romped to a 4-1 win at Penicuik Park with striker Kevin Buchan netting a hat-trick, pictured below celebrating, but suffered a 3-0 loss at Whitton Park at the start of the season. So a tough game is in store for the Fed come Saturday.

Manager Keith Gibson still has some injury worries to contend with, with Jamie Winter, Brian Clark, Danny Cavanagh, Jake Mair all still on the injury list alongside goalkeeper John Sinclair. Defender Drew Fleming will be looking to make his second start following his debut in the Bo’ness defeat last Saturday after signing for the club two days previous.

All fans are reminded this game is a 2-30pm kick off at Penicuik Park, home of Penicuik Athletic.
