Broughty Athletic are back on Super League business this Saturday when they welcome ninth-placed Newtongrange Star to Whitton Park for a league encounter, a game in which the Fed really need to be taking the three points on offer.

The sides met back in mid-September 2015 at New Victoria Park with the home side collecting the three points in a 3-2 win with Bryan Duell and former player Lee Sibanda scoring for the Fed in a second half comeback, after the Fed were behind 3-0 at halftime.

Visitors Newtongrange currently sit in ninth position in the Super League, and are currently on a two-game losing streak, with losses to Hill of Beath Hawthorn 2-0, and more recently last Saturday’s surprise 1-0 home defeat to bottom side Tayport.

Broughty Athletic manager Keith Gibson will have a near full squad to choose from, with striker Bryan Duell returning from a one-match suspension following his sending off at Linlithgow Rose last week. Frankie Lannen (pictured left) missed Saturday’s away win at Stonehaven through injury but is hoping to be back in contention for a place in the squad for this weekend. And defender Jamie Sime is out on loan at local side Dundee Violet.

All fans are reminded this game is a 2-30pm kick-off at Whitton Park. Admission prices are £5 for Adults and £2 for Kids/OAP’s.
