BAJFC manage Jamie McCunnie was a happier man following the final whistle on Saturday after seeing his side win 3-1 against visitors Blairgowrie JFC. Read below his thoughts on the game and the improved performance from the players…

“What a difference a week makes in football. It was like watching a different team on Saturday, right from the start. We played on the front foot and caused Blairgowrie problems from the start, it was the reaction you hope for after a poor performance last weekend.

The individual goals we scored were really good and we also hit the woodwork four times throughout the 90 minutes. All in all, a much-improved display from the boys.

It was good to see our striker Josh Skelly back playing and creating a good couple of chances after he got injured against Forfar Athletic a few months ago in a friendly game, and I thought our defender Daryl McKenzie (pictured left) was excellent in the center-half position he played.

We now look forward to training and next Saturday’s game away to Brechin Vics…”

As the manager states, Broughty now moves on to next Saturday with a trip to Victoria Park to face Brechin Vics. Again no fans are allowed to attend, kick-off is at 1-45pm.
