BAJFC make the short journey to face Forfar West End on Wednesday night in the Super League at Strathmore Park and will be looking to get back to winning ways following Saturdays 1-0 home defeat to Linlithgow Rose.

Wednesday nights hosts, FWE, are not having the best of seasons as they currently sit rooted at the foot of the Super League table with just four wins from eighteen games played, gaining just twelve points in the process, so a win for them would boost their chances of Super League survival for next season and leapfrog second bottom Kennoway Star Hearts who they trail by two points but do have three games in hand over them.

Their last three league fixtures, which happened to all be home fixtures, have seen them lose 4-0 to Newtongrange Star, 1-0 against Penicuik Athletic and record a great 2-1 win ten days ago over Bo’ness United. The sides previously met at Whitton Park early on in the season, in their second game of the campaign, with Broughty running out 3-1 winners. A Kevin Milne strike had the Fed leading at halftime before FWE pulled a goal back early in the second half, but a Paul McLellan double, one a superb freekick pictured above, sealed the win for the Whitton Park side.

Broughty go into the game with a couple of injury worries following Saturday’s game versus Linlithgow Rose and manager Jamie McCunnie will be hoping they both recover in time for Wednesday night. Missing from Saturday’s squad was midfielder Kieran McWalter, it remains to be seen if he manages to return for the game on Wednesday.

All fans are reminded this game is a 6-45pm kickoff at Strathmore Park, home of Forfar West End…
