Broughty Athletic will be looking to turn around their recent two Super League defeats when they make the journey to Albyn Park on Wednesday night to face Broxburn Athletic.

The Fed suffered a heavy defeat two weeks ago at Whitton Park against their future Wednesday night opponents, losing 6-1 (picture below), then lost again 2-0 to local rivals Lochee United on Saturday past.

Hosts Broxburn currently occupies the sixth position in the league table, two above Broughty, with a five-point advantage, but the Fed have three games in hand over the Albyn Park side so a win is crucial to climb up the league table. Two weeks ago the Fed put on a woeful display and suffered a heavy 6-1 loss but that will be hopefully out oof their minds come Wednesday night. The sides also met at the start of April in the EOS Cup with Broxburn winning that 3-2 at Albyn Park (pictured above).

Recent Super League results for the home side have seen them defeat second-placed Bonnyrigg Rose 1-0 at home but that was followed up with a 3-0 defeat on Saturday at home to Hill of Beath.

Broughty go into the game knowing they need three points to beat last season’s tally of thirty-nine points, but to just get a win under their belts against a side who they have struggled to beat on the previous four occasions is going to be another tough ask come Wednesday night.

All fans re reminded this game is now a 7-45pm kick off at Albyn Park, home of Broxburn Athletic.
