Broughty Athletic JFC are pleased to announce that influential midfielder Brian Clark has extended his contract with the club for another year until the summer of 2018.
Brian, who joined the club in March 2016 from local side Downfield JFC, played a major part during his twenty-seven appearances, scoring four goals in the process, helped guide the Fed to the GA Engineering Cup final at Tannadice Park last weekend and starred in the 5-1 win over Tayport in the final following a lengthy lay-off through injury early on in the year.
The main picture above shows Brian and his daughter after collecting his winner’s medal from club chairman Gordon Deuchars. The picture below is Brian challenging for the ball against Tayport’s Dale Reid during the cup final game at Tannadice Park.
Fed manager Keith Gibson was very pleased with the news that Brian will be with the club for next season and had this to say…
“I’m very pleased Brian has extended his contract with us for another year. He’s played his part for us when needed throughout this season in helping guide us to seventh place in the league and our cup win. We are hoping that a couple more players will extend their contracts after the deals we’ve put to them along with searching outwith the club for new players and we will hopefully have some more news in the near future…”
