Broughty Athletic defender Jamie McCunnie has declared himself fit and resumed training with the squad following his bout of flu. Jamie was struck down a couple of weeks ago, forcing him to miss the 2-0 away defeat the current champions Kelty Hearts at New Central Park. But manager Keith Gibson is happy to have Jamie back in the squad going into this Saturdays EOS Cup game at home to Brechin Vics.
The club’s only other main concern is midfielder Jake Mair (pictured above). He was injured in the Kelty Hearts game, with his left shoulder popping out of it’s joint in a hefty challenge. After a hospital visit and the shoulder put right, Jake was sent home to rest. Hopefully he will resume training later this week or early next week.
