BAJFC manager Keith Gibson gives us his thoughts on Saturday’s Scottish Cup exit at the hands of Premier League side Sauchie, losing 4-0 in the process. Read below what he had to say on the game…

“Saturday’s heavy defeat to Sauchie was probably the worst performance we, as a team, have produced since I came in as manager at the club. Full credit to Sauchie as they thoroughly deserved their win and wanted it far more than us. They showed a desire and passion for going and winning the game of football and we never matched this one bit.

We spoke before the game regarding what an opportunity we had to get in the last 16 of the Scottish Cup and how we wanted to approach the game, everything was positive in the build-up but our performance was far from it, to say the least. We couldn’t even get the basics right throughout the game and if you can’t do that mixed with Sauchie wanting it more than us we got what we deserved, absolutely nothing.

We need to get focused again and all take responsibility and roll our sleeves up, as we’ve got a very tough away game at Camelon next week back in the Super League and we need a huge improvement on Saturday’s display right across the park…”

Broughty travel to Carmuirs Park to face Camelon next Saturday in the Super League, with kick off at 1-45pm.
