Broughty Athletic manager Keith Gibson spoke of his side’s part in gifting visitors Boness United two goals in their 3-0 win at Whitton Park on Saturday and thus suffering their third league loss in a row. Below is what Keith had to say after the defeat…

“Again we started the game poorly and gifted Boness their first two goals! We ever got the ball down on the ground and played, making it easy for Boness in the first half. But come the second half we were much better and we created some good goal scoring chances but sadly the damage was done in the first half. We can’t keep gifting goals as we are not giving ourselves a chance in games, so we need to be more solidly in defence.

We are not on a great run of form at the moment, but I have every faith in the squad of players we have at the club to turn this situation around and start winning again. With no Super League game this weekend, it’s a break from league business and our poor run but myself, Ray and Tony will get the players lifted this week during training for Saturdays Scottish Cup game at Cumnock…’
