Latest news from Whitton Park as we head towards Saturday’s East of Scotland Cup tie at home to East Craigie is recent new signing Dayle Robertson is back in training with the squad following his injury he picked up in pre-season against North End.

Dayle, pictured left, has yet to feature for the Fed in their 6 Super League games but he is pushing for a place on the bench at least for this weekends cup tie against Craigie. Interim manager Jamie McCunnie said on Dayle’s progress…

Dayle was unlucky to get a sore injury in the game against North End pre-season. He’s had to watch from the sidelines and being a new signing he just wants to get fit and impress within the squad. He’s now back training and we’ll see how this week goes and take it from there. Saturday may be too soon but we’ll see how it goes…”

Missing for sure will be midfielder and fellow recent new signing Fraser Smith who was carried off in the win over Jeanfield Swifts recently at Whitton Park. A sore injury on his right knee is to be keeping him out for a couple more weeks.

Also, the latest on the new manager front is the club will hopefully be releasing an announcement in the very near future regarding this situation. Chairman Gordon Deuchars has been keeping things close to his chest but assures us some news is forthcoming in the next 24/48/72/96hrs, so fingers crossed there…
