Broughty Athletic manager Keith Gibson felt disappointed after hearing his side’s away clash in the Super League was called off due to a waterlogged pitch on Saturday morning.
With having the squad prepped and ready, with his starting line-up and gameplay set, he received the dreaded call of the call-off. Keith had this to say…
“To say I was disappointed was an understatement. We had been ready, prepped and raring to go following our training sessions this week and looking forward to the game following the good win over Tayport last week. The weather had not been the best but we thought the game would definitely be fine and on, sadly it wasn’t.
The lads are finished for the year as in competitive games, but we have lined up a friendly match against Lochee Harp on the 29th, so that will give them another match for vital game time. Then into 2016, we have lined up a game against Downfield to prep us for whatever fixture comes when the season restarts on the 9th January…”
