Currently on a three game losing streak in the Super League, Broughty Athletic aim to try and stop the poor run when they host fifth placed Linlithgow Rose on Saturday at Whitton Park.
Defeats against Newtongrange Star away and Boness United and Penicuik Athletic at home have seen The Fed slump down the Super League table to fourth bottom. But a win would be a welcome boost to a side that creates many chances in a game but without converting into goals.
Visitors Linlithgow are three times Super League champions, back in 2004, 2007 and 2013 and will no doubt be there or thereabouts come the end of the season so a tough fixture is in store for Keith Gibson’s side. The Rose are the only side yet to taste defeat in the league this season so far, having drawn five games and winning three.
Missing for the home side again through injury is Barry Myles and Jamie Sime. Facing a late fitness test is midfielder Jamie Winter(pictured below), who at the moment is a doubt for the game. Recent new signings Jonathon Smart and Derryn Kesson will be in the squad and could possibly feature for their league debuts.
All fans are reminded this game is a 2-30pm kick-off at Whitton Park.
