BAJFC manager Jim Finlayson will again have key players missing for tomorrow’s Super League clash at home to Bonnyrigg Rose as the Fed look to get back to winnings ways following two recent defeats.

Still out are defender Jamie McCunnie, with a rib injury sustained in the 2-2 draw against Broxburn Athletic at the end of September, Paul McLellan, after breaking bones in a finger which led to having to get a plate and screws inserted inside in early October during a training session and he is expected to still be out for another six weeks with an appointment at the end of November booked with surgeons at Ninewells Hospital. Finally, defender Ryan Suttie with a knee injury sustained also during a training session mid-October.

Our website team caught up with Ryan, pictured, and he had this to say on his latest injury woe…

“I still reckon I’m looking at about 4-5 weeks out of first-team team action with the lads, but hopefully, I’ll be back running and doing fitness work within the next two weeks to try and rebuild the strength in my knee and build my fitness back up to push for a starting place again.

Obviously, last weeks defeat and exit out of the Scottish Cup to Bathgate was a big downer, especially being stuck on the sidelines and watching the boys and I’m totally helpless because of this injury. But hopefully, the boys can bounce back with a solid performance tomorrow against Bonnyrigg at Whitton Park and push to try and get some results before the possible bad weather kicks in leading up to the league break late December. We could do with some points on the board after a good start, fingers crossed we get some Saturday…”

Broughty takes on Bonnyrigg Rose tomorrow at Whitton Park with a 2pm kickoff.
