Broughty Athletic are due to welcome Kennoway Star Hearts to Whitton Park this Saturday in the Super League but the recent weather conditions will almost certainly put the game off for sure.
Visitors KSH currently occupy the second-bottom place in the league having only won two games out of the nineteen they have played so far. Their recent last three league fixtures brought them three defeats, losing 3-0 to Dundonald Bluebell, 6-0 to Camelon and 4-1 away to Penicuik Athletic.
The sides have already met this season mid-August 2017, Broughty’s first away game of the season and a 1-1 draw was the result at Treaton Park, striker Kevin Milne, pictured left, scoring the equaliser before halftime. Paul McLellan also had a penalty saved as Broughty pressed for the winner but for great goalkeeping by the KSH man in the goal, saved his side.
Broughty go into the game with the great news that defender Jamie McCunnie has taken on the manager’s job on a permanent basis and he will be urging his side for the win, to help push towards securing their status for next season as a Super League team. The Fed last played on the 10th of February when the easily brushed aside Bo’ness United 4-1 at home.
Should the game get the go-ahead, which we all know it won’t, it’s scheduled for a 2-30pm kick off at Whitton Park.
