BAJFC visit second-bottom of the league Jeanfield Swifts this Saturday in their last league game of the year before the three-week break over Christmas and New Year.

The Fed will be looking to go one better than last Saturday’s point gained against Linlithgow Rose and get the all important win to finish off what will be looked back on as a fantastic half of the season in the Super League, climbing to second top of the league at one stage.

Hosts Jeanfield currently sit in second bottom position, one point above bottom side Fauldhouse United, with only three wins in twelve games so far so a win is vital to help move away from the bottom of the league area. Jeanfield’s last Super League fixture was back on the 12th November, a 3-1 home loss to Fauldhouse United. Their last competitive fixture was a 3-2 home loss to Hermes in the Scottish Cup on the 3rd December.

The previous scoreline between the sides saw the Fed lose 2-1 at Whitton Park last season in the semi-final of the GA Engineering Cup when Jeanfield were a Premier League side before winning promotion to the Super League.

Broughty go into the game with no new injury worries, with only Jake Mair and John Sinclair both missing with long-term injuries. Facing a late fitness check will be Jay Smart having missed out last Saturday with flu.

All fans are reminded this game is a 1-30pm kick off at the Riverside Stadium, home of Jeanfield Swifts.
