Broughty Athletic head to Keirs Park this Saturday and will be looking to get back to winning ways following their heavy home defeat last weekend to Penicuik Athletic as they face Hill of Beath Hawthorn in a Super League match.

Hosts HOB currently sit in the tenth position in the league, four places below the Fed and trail by four points but do have two games in hand so a win for the Whitton Park side would be crucial to keep the gap. Their last three fixtures in the league have brought them two victories and a defeat, winning 2-1 against Carnoustie Panmure and thrashing Bo’ness United 5-1 and a 2-0 loss away to Sauchie.

Previous scorelines between the sides last season saw the Fed take all three points from Keirs Park in a midweek fixture towards the end of the season with a 3-1 win and three points at Whitton Park with a 1-0 win with former player Jay Smart nodding the winner.

Missing for the Fed going into the game on Saturday will be both Jamie McCunnie and Paul McLellan, both out injured for several weeks. Also missing will be left back Ryan Blair who face a two-match suspension following his ordering off against Penicuik last Saturday, giving manager Jim Finlayson a few headaches as he prepares his team selection for the game.

All fans are reminded this game is a 2-30pm kick off at Keirs Park, home of Hill of Beath Hawthorn.
