Fed manager Jamie McCunnie was delighted with his sides 2-0 victory on Saturday against Downfield in the Super League. Goals by Josh Skelly and Bryan Duell (both pictured below celebrating) secured the points for the reds, their first league victory following two recent draws. Read below what Jamie had to say…
“It was good to get back to winning ways on Saturday with our 2-0 win. For the last two or three games, our play has been good in spells but Saturday was a more complete performance from the team as a whole.
There’s still a lot of work to be done with this side but for large spells of the game against Downfield we had good spells of possession, we created a good few opportunities in front of goal and an extra bonus is that we managed to keep a clean sheet, which is pleasing.
We now look forward to another home game next Saturday when we welcome Forfar West End in another league fixture before our Scottish Cup tie against Saint Anthony’s on the 26th. FWE had no fixture on Saturday so their players will no doubt will be looking to impress their new manager against us come Saturday and we’ll need to be at our best…”
