Our last interview with Fed manager Jamie McCunnie before Broughty’s biggest game of the season for the club as they prepare to face West Region side Darvel Juniors in the quarter-finals of the Macron sponsored Scottish Junior Cup at Recreation Park this Saturday. Read below what he had to say…
“Fingers crossed the weather holds up and its third time lucky this weekend for our big Scottish Cup game against Darvel. To be fair, the weather has been horrendous of late and it’s no surprise most games have been off all over the country in the Juniors and even some senior games.
The squad have been training hard and well recently in preparation for the game. On the injury front, we’ve managed to get a few boys off the treatment table and back in serious contention for the game which is a bonus to the squad as a whole. Fingers crossed we don’t pick up anything during our final session Thursday night before making the journey down to Darvel on Saturday morning.
Everyone is looking forward to it, the club is buzzing and we hope to give a good account of ourselves on the day and get a result…”
