Broughty Athletic’s third friendly of their pre-season campaign ended in a 1-1 draw with local side North End at Whitton Park last night.

Following on from Saturday’s 7-1 thumping from Highland League side Fraserburgh FC, Fed manager Keith Gibson said it was an ‘improved performance’ despite the draw. Several first team players were missing yet again due to either holidays or injury. Captain Jamie Winter missing out as a precaution as was Ryan Suttie, both coming off injured on Saturday.

A Paul McLellan goal had the Fed 1-0 up at halftime but a sloppy goal was conceded in the second half to end the game at 1-1. Everyone at BAJFC would like to thank North End JFC and wish them all the best for the season ahead.

Broughty have no game this weekend as the squad head down South for a training camp weekend at Fleetwood Town’s ground but they are back in action on Tuesday night with a trip to play Cupar Hearts AFC on Tuesday night.
