Broughty Athletic can officially announce the signing of 19-year-old french defender Bastien Wibaut. Bastien is pictured centre alongside BAJFC Vice President Ian Cochrane, left, and BAJFC manager Keith Gibson, right at a recent training session.

Bastien has been training with The Fed whilst the club waited on international clearance from the French FA. Bastien has moved to Dundee and is currently studying at the University of Dundee. He can play in the left-back or centre of defence position and will go straight into the travelling squad making their way to Carmuirs Park this Saturday to face Camelon.

Broughty manager Keith Gibson said on the signing… “It’s taken a good few weeks but finally the paperwork is through and Bastien is our player. He’s very comfortable on the ball, reads the game well and we look forward to getting him acquainted with the Broughty squad and Scottish Junior football as quick as possible…”

Everyone at the club welcomes Bastien and wishes him all the best for the rest of the season.
