Broughty Athletic travel to face Dundonald Bluebell this Saturday in their sixth Super League game of the new season. The Fed are fresh off a 2-1 win over Perthshire side Jeanfield swifts and Dundonald a 2-1 win over Forfar West End both last Saturday.

Our hosts currently sit in the sixth position in the Super League, two places below the Fed with one point less, so a chance to build a small gap is on the cards for the Fed should they come home with the points. Dundonald have had wins over Hill of Beath and Jeanfield Swifts, with defeats against Penicuik Athletic and Newtongrange Star.

Last season’s score lines between the sides last season saw the Fed do the double, winning 2-1 at Moorside Park and 3-1 at Whitton Park in March of this year, with Barry Myles and former players Shaka Roy and Kevin Buchan netting for the home side. The picture to the left is of the Whitton Park match back in late March 2017, with Broughty’s Paul McLellan challenging for the ball.

Broughty go into the game with some injury doubts, namely Dayle Robertson who will definitely be out, Fraser Smith and Garry Kenneth, who both were carried off in the win over Jeanfield on Saturday. Back into the squad comes keeper Iain Ross who missed last Saturday’s game.

All fans are reminded this game is a 2-30pm kick off at Moorside Park, home of Dundonald Bluebell.
