Broughty Athletic kicked off 2018 with a home loss to local rivals Carnoustie Panmure in the Super League on Saturday.

The Fed went into the game unbeaten in their last three league games which included draws against league leaders Bonnyrigg Rose and Bo’ness United whereas Carnoustie had not won a league game since August.

Broughty went behind just before halftime and a further goal in the second half just before the hour mark sealed the points for the visitors who went home with all three points.

The Fed are in action next Saturday at home again when they welcome Dundonald Bluebell in the league.
