Broughty Athletic travel several miles North on Saturday to Strathmore Park in Forfar to face Forfar West End in a league clash.

Our hosts currently occupy ninth position in the Premiership North league with just four points from three games, one game less than Broughty have played. They kicked off their season with a 1-0 over Lochee Harp which was followed with a 1-1 draw away to newly formed Forfar United then more recently a 301 away defeat at the hands of Tayport. A postponed fixture against North End sees them with only three games under their belts.

Broughty go into the game fresh off a 2-0 home win against Dundee Violet last Saturday, their third win on the trot since their opening league fixture defeat against Downfield. There are a couple of injury worries for the manager but late fitness checks will determine if both players make the squad or not come Saturday.

It’s the last fixture of 2020, a year that has been turned upside down due to the recent global pandemic and decimated the footballing calendar for all teams. The Fed are back in action Saturday 9th January at Whitton park against current league top scorers Dundee East Craigie…
