Broughty Athletic are on their travels this Saturday as they look to make it back to back victories in the Super League, following Saturday’s 3-1 home win over Dundonald Bluebell, when the face Fauldhouse United at Park View.

The Fed last won back to back league fixtures against Hill of Beath and Penicuik Athletic, both 1-0 wins, away back mid-September, the start of October, then went on an unwanted ten-game league run without a win with six defeats and four draws until the win over Dundonald Bluebell Saturday past.

Hosts Fauldhouse United currently sit bottom of the Super League with just ten points from twenty-one games played so far this season, so points are a must for the Park View side come Saturday in a bid to avoid the two automatic relegation places and the third bottom play-off place. Last season Fauldhouse looked relegation candidates from the Super League but managed to pull off a great escape to finish fourth bottom, level with Sauchie on goal points but with a better goal difference of just a single goal to avoid the dreaded third bottom play-off fixture.

The previous scoreline between the sides this season saw Broughty take the three points with a 3-2 win at Whitton Park with goals from Jay Smart (picture above no.16 heading the equaliser), Ross McCord and a penalty winner from Jamie McCunnie in injury time. Last season Fauldhouse recorded a 2-1 win at Whitton Park and a topsy-turvy 4-4 draw at Park View with Fed captain Jamie Winter scoring a hat-trick of free-kicks.

Broughty go into the game full of confidence after finally get win number eight in the league on Saturday against visitors Dundonald Bluebell and will be looking to come home with all three points. On the injury front, there is still a doubt over Ryan Suttie who missed out in the 3-1 Saturday win. Brian Clark is back training with the squad from his recent injury and again will make the travelling squad.

All fans are reminded this game is a 2-30pm kick off at Park View, home of Fauldhouse United.
