Broughty Athletic defender Jamie Sime will see his months loan extended at local junior side North End to the end of January.

After signing for The Fed in late August 2015 from local side Dundee Violet, Jamie broke his foot in his debut appearance in a 3-0 loss at home to Penicuik Athletic and has battled back to resume training recently with the squad. An agreement between BAJFC manager Keith Gibson and Jamie was made for him to go out on loan mid-December to gain match fitness and return to the club to stake his claim in the side. But call-offs due to the recent poor weather since Jamie switched to North End, plus the festive break, have meant Jamie is yet to play at North End.

This Saturday see’s Jamie’s loan side, North End, take on Broughty’s fellow Super League side Camelon in the Scottish Cup fourth round and after speaking with North End manager George Shields, he had this to say…

“We are delighted to still have Jamie on board at North End and he will be in the squad, probably the starting eleven, for our Junior Scottish Cup trip away to Camelon this Saturday…”
