Defender Jamie Sime has been called back from his loan club, Dundee Violet, as Broughty Athletic manager Keith Gibson requires his service’s for the remainder of the season due to injuries, suspensions and study leave within the squad.

Manager Keith Gibson had this to say on Jamie’s return…

“The original plan was to loan Jamie out to Violet until the end of the season to help him regain match fitness following his foot break after making his debut but due to the squad being light on numbers in defence through injuries, suspension and study leave, it was best to recall Jamie back.

It’s a good opportunity for him to get back involved with the squad after getting much-needed match fitness at Violet and we thank them for helping Jamie and Broughty with this. He will go into the squad for Wednesday night’s crucial game away to Carnoustie…”
