Broughty Athletic defender Barry Myles is back at the club following his loan deal at local side Dundee North End.
Barry was loaned out to regain match fitness following a recent hip injury and a deal was struck with DNE manager George Shields who was happy to take Barry to help him regain match fitness as well as help his side in league and cup competitions during Barry’s time there.
After speaking with George, pictured below, here’s what he had to say on Barry’s last game and time at his club…
“Barry played his fourth game in a row at centre back for us on Saturday and did very well against Carluke Rovers in the Scottish Junior Cup, where we won 2-0. I would like to thank Broughty Athletic for the loan and would also wish to thank Barry for his contributions, especially in the Scottish cup as we have not conceded a goal and Barry has played a major part in that and he also chipped in with a goal in the last round. We would love to have him extend the loan at North End but that is out of my hands. He has regained match fitness and I’m proud to have helped Broughty with that as well, and hopefully Barry will now play his part for The Fed in their Super League campaign…”
