Broughty Athletic have moved quickly to find a replacement goalkeeper following the loss of John Sinclair through injury, fracturing his ankle in a 3-0 friendly win last Tuesday night against local side Dundee Violet.

The club has signed Josh Allardyce, pictured left during warm up at Kelty Hearts, from local rivals Carnoustie Panmure for the remainder of the season as cover to first choice keeper Iain Ross with John thought to be out for between six and twelve weeks.

Josh was on the bench and unused in the 3-1 defeat at Kelty last Saturday as a trialist until the club moved to sign him before the deadline to be included in the squad for the Scottish Cup game at Downfield this weekend…

Everyone at the club would like to wish Josh all the very best during his time here at BAJFC
