Broughty Athletic and Downfield JFC will be hoping third time lucky this Saturday to play their 3rd round Scottish Cup fixture after two previous call offs due to a frozen Downfield Park surface.
The weather has improved this week after freezing temperatures plummeted to -6 degrees last week, putting paid to any chance of Junior football being played in the city. But there is no sign of temperatures dropping this week in the city going into the weekend so hopefully, the game can be played.
Broughty’s proposed Super League fixture away to Lochee United scheduled for this Saturday has now been cancelled and will be scheduled for a later date.
Kick off at Downfield Park is 1-45pm. Should the game end in a draw after 90mins, then a replay will take place at Whitton Park on Saturday 10th December.
