Broughty Athletic suffered their third defeat in a row when they went down 2-0 at Carmuirs Park to hosts Camelon, thus ending Camelon’s five-game losing streak in the league.
The game was over in the first half as the home side scored twice without reply. No further goals came in the second half as Camelon secured three vital points in their quest to stay in the Super League, a feat which looks odds on for them. Broughty, on the other hand, will be wondering where their recent run of good form has gone, suffering their third defeat on the bounce in five days since their 1-0 win away to Bo’ness United.
Broughty now have two home games before they finish their season, starting with the visit of Musselburgh Athletic this Saturday followed by the visit of Fauldhouse United next Wednesday night.
