Broughty Athletic’s first venture in the new Super League ended in a 0-0 stalemate at Whitton Park against visitors Camelon, who ended the game with ten men following Craig Davidson’s sending off for a late tackle on Fed player Jamie McCunnie.

The Fed will rue a few missed chances and lack of cutting edge in front of goal throughout the game, stopping them from securing their first win in the Super League with all three points on offer.

Broughty can look look forward to a second home match of the new season on Wednesday night when near neighbours Carnoustie Panmure, who kicked of their season with a resounding 4-1 win over Musselburgh Athletic, visit Whitton Park, with kick-off at 7pm.
