Broughty Athletic claimed all three points with a fantastic away win at the Olivebank Stadium, defeating hosts Musselburgh Athletic 2-0 in the Super League today and chalking up their fourth win on the trot in all competitions and their third clean sheet in a row.
A goal from striker Kevin Buchan, lobbing the keeper, with 15 minutes to go put Broughty ahead then in the dying seconds it was Jake Mair that sealed the win slotting under the keeper and three precious points come home with the Fed.
The win moves Broughty up to 12th place in the league, four points ahead of new bottom placed team Fauldhouse United, with the Fed having three games in hand over them too.
Up next, for Keith Gibson’s side, is a trip to face Sauchie next Saturday 2nd April. Broughty lost 3-2 when the sides recently met at Whitton Park, with Kevin Buchan and Grant Lawson on the scoresheet.
