On 2mins Grant Lawson fed Buchan but his low shot was blocked, but Stuart McConnachie slotted home the rebound, 1-0. Then in the last minute Lawson played in Sibanda on the right, he cut back for Kevin Buchan to tap home the fifth goal and complete his hat-trick for a comfortable 5-0 win.

Overall a very good performance from the home side who were never really troubled by Brechin Vics. Not one save really was made by Fed keeper Iain Ross. Defence looked in control throughout the match. Midfield passed the ball well with a few one touch moves throughout the middle. Grant Lawson was a provider laying on three of the goals and new loan signing Kevin Buchan with his hat-trick topped off a fine debut.

Great to see long-term absentee Jamie Sime return to the game, coming on a substitute with 15mins to go. Broughty next face Hill of Beath next Saturday at Whitton Park in the Super League.
