BAJFC can confirm that defender Barry Myles (pictured below) has joined local side Dundee North End on loan for one month.
Barry is a big player for BAJFC and played a big part in the club’s promotion last season to the Super League. But more recently he has had a niggling hip flexor injury since the start of the season but played through the pain barrier before it got too much. After consultation with a Physio, Barry was recommended to rest for four weeks.
Now back training with the club for the last 10 days and playing 60 minutes in Tuesday nights 2-1 friendly win over North End, Broughty manager Keith Gibson spoke with Barry and both parties agreed it would be beneficial for both player and club to get competitive games to aid his much-needed match fitness.
“We have agreed that Barry will go out on loan to North End for a month and North End manager George Shields was keen to get Barry on board with his young talented side keen in the knowledge that Barry will do well for them,” said Broughty manager Keith Gibson on the deal.
All at BAJFC wish Barry all the best at North End as he goes straight into their squad for their Scottish Cup away tie against Aberdeen University on Saturday.
