Following on from their fine 3-0 win over Camelon in the East of Scotland Cup last Saturday, Broughty Athletic were beaten at home 3-0 by visitors Kelty Hearts in the Super League today.

Trailing 1-0 at halftime, The Fed came out battling in the second half but despite several chances on goal they couldn’t find the net and the visitors netted a further two goal, one a penalty, to take all three points back to Fife.

This latest defeat, along with defeats for Fauldhouse United, Tayport, Carnoustie Panmure and Camelon today, means the Fed require only four points from a possible eighteen remaining to guarantee their Super League status for next season.

Broughty are back in Super League action Wednesday 11th May when Tayport call in at Whitton Park in the Super League. Kick-off is at 7pm.
