Broughty Athletic welcomed a special wee boy to Whitton Park on Saturday before the game against Musselburgh Athletic. His name is Jonathan Williams and he is only 7 years old and suffers from the condition Cerebral Palsy Spastic Quadriplegia, epilepsy, he is also partially sighted, and also tube fed.
Broughty Athletic striker Kevin Buchan invited Jonathan and his mum, Shelley Forrester, along to meet some of the squad and get a feel of what it’s like at Whitton Park. As the lads warmed up for the game, the goalkeeping trio of Iain Ross, Mark Murray and John Sinclair took time out for a picture along with Kevin and Jonathan’s mum Shelley.
The club, along with Kevin, have made a donation towards help fund specialised equipment for Jonathan that sadly he can’t get from the NHS, as at the moment he only has his wheelchair to sit in.
A link to Jonathan’s page is provided to click on and read further about Jonathan’s story. All at BAJFC wish mum Shelley and Jonathan all the best in their efforts to raise money and striker Kevin for his tremendous gesture…
