Broughty Athletic welcome last seasons runners-up Bonnyrigg Rose to Whitton Park this Saturday in the league and will be looking to get some points on the board following two recent defeats in the league and Scottish Cup.

The Fed’s last home league fixture was a 4-1 loss at the hands of current league leaders Penicuik Athletic and BAJFC manager is keen to take something from this game come Saturday but knows it will be a tough game ahead with a reduced squad due to recent injuries and suspensions.

Visitors Bonnyrigg currently sit third in the league following their opening ten games and remain undefeated so far with seven wins and three draws which sees them sit third, three points behind leaders Penicuik but with a game in hand. Last season Broughty lost heavily at home, 6-0 back in late May and will not want a repeat of that scoreline, pictured above. The away fixture at New Dundas Park saw the Fed go down 4-0 at the start of the season in mid-August 2016.

Broughty will still be without three key players through injury, Jamie McCunnie, Ryan Suttie and Paul McLellan. Also out will be Ryan Blair as he serves his final game following a two-game suspension he recently received following a straight red card against Penicuik Athletic.

All fans are reminded this game is a 2pm kick off at Whitton Park.
