Broughty Athletic can officially announce that midfielder Paul Lunan, pictured above in red against Musselburgh Athletic, has left the club. Paul’s contract was up at the end of last season and he has decided not to commit himself to the Fed for the season ahead. He is currently training with local side Lochee United with a view to signing for them.
Paul joined the Fed back in 2013 from local Junior side Dundee Violet, having previously played for seniors sides in Montrose FC, Arbroath FC, and Forfar Athletic during his career. He won the Players’ Player of the Year award at the club end of season awards with the Fed. He was also instrumental on the pitch in helping the club gain promotion from the Premier Divison to the Super League via the play-offs in the 2014/15 season and helping the club cement their Super League status in finishing tenth last season.
With Paul’s contract coming to an end at the end of the season just finished, he’s decided to ply his trade elsewhere and everyone at BAJFC wish Paul all the very best in the future and thank him for his time and effort whilst representing Broughty Athletic.
