BAJFC caretaker manager Jamie McCunnie speaks again following Wednesday nights narrow 1-0 defeat at the hands of local rivals Lochee United at Thomson Park. Read below his words on the game…

“Last night’s game was a very hard one to take, losing to the single goal. But full credit must go to Lochee United who managed to keep a clean sheet.

During the game we created four clear cut chances that we should have took advantage of and on the balance of play, we deserved to take something from the game, at least a point. However, if you don’t take your chances it can come back to haunt you and it did last night.

Our players need to take credit for the way they played and the bravery they showed to continue to play the right way even when they went a goal behind early on in the first half. It was good to see the youngsters of the squad come on last night and more than hold their own.

Young Derryn Kesson, pictured left, and Greig McNaughton have had to be patient due to the good start we’ve had, two wins and a draw, but last night they proved they are good enough to play at this level in the Super League.

We now look forward to the arrival of fellow Super League side Jeanfield Swifts this Saturday. They drew away to Kennoway Hearts last night but had a great home win over Boness on Saturday. It will be another tough game for us but one we will be looking to win especially as we are at home…”
