Broughty Athletic came back from the dead courtesy of a Jamie Winter hat-trick of free-kicks to share the points in a 4-4 draw against hosts Fauldhouse United at Parkview today.

With The Fed trailing 2-0 midway through the first half, a goal before halftime courtesy of Jamie Winter, his first of three, brought The Fed back into the match at 2-1.

Second half Broughty equalized to make it 2-2, again it was Jamie Winter doubling his tally. Broughty had the chance to take the lead via the penalty spot but striker Bryan Duell missed. The hosts regained the lead minutes after the miss, 3-2. Winter sealed his hat-trick levelling the scores again at 3-3 only for Fed’s Jake Mair to put Broughty 3-4  in front with five minutes to go. But with The Fed thinking the points were in the bag, Fauldhouse managed to score an equalizer in the dying minutes of the game to seal the 4-4 draw.

With the midweek matches out of the way, next up for Broughty next Saturday is home game at Whitton Park against Penicuik Athletic.
