It is with the greatest of sadness that BAJFC delivers to you the heartbreaking news of the passing away of our club physio and friend Sandy Dorward. We were informed that Sandy died on Saturday morning after his battle with illness. On behalf of all of us here at BAJFC, we have taken the liberty of sending out to the whole Dorward family our most heartfelt condolences and sympathy…

Sandy, pictured above with BAJFC club captain Jamie Winter, had been battling with illness the last several months. He gave the most inspirational speech to the BAJFC squad before their GA Engineering Cup final back in May at Tannadice Park, and the players responded to him by trashing opponents Tayport 5-1. Sandy was also recognised for his attributes towards the club and Junior football in the city at the POTY Dance in June when he was presented with gifts from the club.

Over the years Sandy, pictured with his granddaughter Alix and the GA Cup below, has no doubt met many many a player on his table giving them treatment before and after games. He was a true gentleman and will truly be missed by all at BAJFC and everyone that knew and met him…

RIP SANDY DORWARD…
