Broughty Athletic JFC are pleased to officially announce Jim Finlayson as their new manager at the club.

Jim, a former manager at the likes of Kirriemuir Thistle, Forfar West End and local side Dundee Violet, has a vast amount of experience in the Junior football scene and is relishing the prospect of managing the Fed in the Super League. Jim is no stranger to the Super League, having managed former club Forfar WE in the 2008/9 season after gaining promotion as runners up in the East Premier League the previous season.

The club has been on the look out for a new manager since the resignation of former manager Keith Gibson at the start of August. The club moved quickly to appoint former Dundee United player and current vice captain at the club, Jamie McCunnie, in charge of team affairs until a new manager was sought.

Jim is joined at the club by his former assistant manager Jimmy Glass and his former backroom team at previous clubs and they will take in another training session tonight and before they kick off their campaign away to Linlithgow Rose on Saturday at Prestonfield Park working alongside Jamie McCunnie.

BAJFC would like to wish Jim and his team all the very best at the club and welcome them all aboard at the Fed.

The club would also like to put on record and say thank you to all the applicants that applied for the job since it was advertised at the start of August.
