Current Super League leaders Boness United, albeit on goal difference, are next up for Broughty Athletic this Saturday in a league encounter at Whitton Park.
It will be The Fed’s toughest fixture on paper as they welcome the former three times Super League champions from 2010, 2011 and 2014 and no doubt will be there or thereabouts come the season end. Boness are currently on a six game unbeaton run, four wins and two drawn, since their opening league game defeat at home to Sauchie, 3-1, so a very tough game is in store for The Fed.
Latest team news for Broughty is defender Paul Lunan could be in contention for his first home start having come through 45 minutes against Newtongrange last weekend since his long absence out with injury. But certainly set to miss the game will be new signing Jamie Sime, as he still recovers from a foot injury.
Kick-off is at 2-30pm at Whitton Park. All visiting fans are more than welcome in the clubroom where refreshments are available for all. Travel/address information can be found in the ‘Contact Us’ section on the website.
